LeFlore County Youth Services
The MISSION of LeFlore County Youth Services, Inc. is to provide opportunities for healthy development to the youth and families of LeFlore and Haskell Counties.
A Brief History of LCYS
LeFlore County Youth Services, Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt corporation, comprised of individuals who care about children and families.
Founded in 1974, the organization began as a response to a need for placement of children outside of the county jail setting. Through the concern of a group of local people made up of all facets of the community, the idea was born.
The Shelter was purchased in September 1974 and in 1982 was named the "Reed House" to honor long-term supporter, Mr. Roy Reed.
Since that humble inception, LeFlore County Youth Services, Inc. has grown to be viable advocate for youth in LeFlore and Haskell Counties and in the State of Oklahoma. The agency is now a valuable link in the continuum of services provided in the county and state.

Letter Carriers "Stamp out Hunger" Food Drive
Every year on the second Saturday in May letter carriers collect non-perishable food donations to help feed the nation's hungry. This year, the LeFlore County Youth Services Shelter was one of the recipients of this food drive. The generosity of the letter carriers is greatly appreciated!
